More info

This fish comes from the famous family of neon and cardinal tetras, with which they have very much in common. The smashing red present on neon's and cardinals is virtually absent from the blue neon.

It is a peaceful fish who likes to be kept best in a group of about 10 to 20. As a group, we can add other small fish from the tetra family, but it's also a fantastic sight to keep blue neons in a school of roughly 100 pieces. Some plants make them very pleased, at a temperature between 24 and 27 degrees Celsius.

It is a seasonal fish caught in the rivers of the Rio Negro in Brazil and is therefore not always readily available. They get to become a maximum of 3.5 centimeters. They eat small live food (Cyclops) or small pellets. They roughly get to become 5 years old.
